For those of you that have species of A. milleopora in your tanks, where does it seem to get the best color placement-wise? I have a 400 watt 14K halide on a 25.5" deep tank. The two that I have are probably half-way up in the tank, and I have noticed that the lower branches seem to have 3x's the color as those near the top of the coral....

Hi mate i have 5 at the top of the reef .. so are they 9 inches or so inches away from from my 250w luminarc 10k .. i have one lower down and it's lost its colour .. ime they really need it as bright as you can get, with intermittant flow .. best all placed under the reflector.

ive found that my colors seem to fade if the coral is up higher. the colors get darker and more rich towards the bottom-middle of my tank. they also like a lot of flow imo.

tank is a 30 gallon with 250w over it.

If its more colorful near the bottom of the coral, move it down.

It shouldnt matter where anyone else is keeping them (especially with Acros being impossible to accurately ID), yours obviously needs less light.
