I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or not, but I was hoping to see some pictures of people's tanks with dark colored stain. Walnut, Ebony, etc. etc. I'm having a hard time choosing what color I want my stand to be.

Yours is about 4" shorter than mine haha
My stand is unfortunately naked right now. How did you hide the screws so that they wouldn't be seen when you stained it? Wood putty?
Right now I'm debating between, Polyshades BombayMahogony and Polyshades Antique Walnut.

there are no screws, the oak plywood is really thin and held on with brad nails and the molding is glued on top of them

General Finishes "Java" gel stain on poplar.
Covered w/ two coats of Minwax satin poly:

To hide the screw holes you need to plug them, don't use wood filler. Wood filler never stains the same as the wood, and is always noticeable.

Wow Conesus_Kid that looks awesome. I really like that color.
cstires, I was trying to figure out how to cover the holes and make them blend in. Thanks for the info!
