I have a CB and 2 perc so I cant have a flame angel or maroon. Any hardy fish that would be a nice addition? I will also pass on hawk and wrasse fishes. Wrasse because of unknown wrasse disease and hawk dont like them. So any suggestions?

Yeah I know its going to be a brain buster. So anyone have any clues as what fish would work? Now that I think of it red fish are quit rare....

it's not exactly red, it's hot pink - orchid dottyback? there are some red or reddish pseudochromis (below) but many aren't that common. I thought of a few more:

not a true hawkfish:

there are some red-striped gobies:

I have seen some rare, gorgeous red blennies, but couldn't find a pic

I know you said you didn't want a wrasse, but this one is pretty cool and stays small:

If you go with inverts, try a blood shrimp, red pistol shrimp (w/ goby), cleaner shrimp or peppermint shrimp

Redtail filefish? Cheap and kind of cool looking.

Garabaldi Damsel? Expensive but cool

How can you not like a Flame Hawk? He is the fish in my tank with the most personality!

I say reconsider!

Look into squirell fish.

I keep 5 in my 210 and have red and white striped ones, and hot pink ones.

Will they eat flakes and anything? Because I had a longnose hawk who refused to eat anything and in the end it starved to death....

I kept a flame angel with a coral beauty. No problems as long as you have a place they can both call their own. They won't fight that way. :)

My flame hawk ate pellets and frozen. I don't offer my fish flake food, but I have never seen a flame hawk with a poor appetite.

What about a firefish? I have one in my 90, and I wish I would have gotten a pair. Very cheap, hardy, and beautiful fish. He is always out swimming around. When people come over, they always love his "antenna".

I tried fire fish for some odd reason my percs dont like them. Chased them and harrassed them
