does anyone know why air bubbles are appearing on the surface of my live rock? its not the powerheads and i dont use an air pump...

Are you running a skimmer? Maybe its comming from the skimmer

It is probably air bubble being released by algae on the rock.

All algae will produce oxygen. Whether it's good or bad is just a matter of how much the algae bothers you.

I always sweep the bubbles. I've had some turn in to bubble algae.
