Sump Breakdown, cant get levels right

So a baffle in my sump broke off so now it is pretty much a wet dry filter. But no matter how much I slow down the pump it is always returning more water that is overflowing. So the tank is slowly overflowing and I keep having to siphon the water back to the sump. What can I do so I can go to sleep tonight without waking up every 2 hours? Thanks in advance

add a tee with a valve to return some of the water back to the sump.

the siphon was dirty just figured it out. haha i feel smart, the broken baffle was irrelevant
