Nice pictures by the way, and thanks for posting.
I've always wondered what these guys look like in the wild.

The rics in the pictures where in about 30 feet. We also saw some regular green rics in about 10 feet, but the vis was too bad to take decent pictures.

The zoas where in about 2 to 3 feet.

I wish i were you and had the opertunity to dive in the ocean like that.

Absolutly wonderful pics, thanks for sharing. Every time i come in here i check them out again....

Im wondering about the second picture of the zoos, what is that in the middle of the patch? It looks like a sponge but it looks fake? did you photoshop that in there or is that natural?

Believe me, I am thankful and appreciative to have this beautiful water in my back yard. After snorkling for 20 years I just got certified a month ago and I regret not having it done 10 years ago....

It is a sponge in the zoas and it looks just like that.

Next trip I hope to capture Orange Rics and Blue Zoas...so stay tuned :)

WOW! Those are great pics. Just scanned through your other pics from the link. I'm hoping to get certified within the next year or two. Hopefully I will be able to get it done soon!

Awesome pics thanks so much for sharing!

Do you think those zoas grew there with the right kind of zooxanthelle to be green as if to have camoflauged with the surrounding seaweed\algae? Or do yout hink it was just an accident?

So gorgeous!

Not sure, but there where many different shades and color combinations of light and dark greens. Unfortunately, the cameras batteries died before we could capture them all.
