Hello Jim,

I purchased the above mentioned unit about 3 weeks ago and I am very impressed with it. I have a couple of questions though.
First, what is the optimal pressure under which the system works? Is there one? I still do not know. The systems pressure gauge usually will be around 50 or 60 psi, can that be increased without causing damage?
Second, is the system supposed to have a membrane flush? How do I use it? Is it the little lever on top of the unit? thanks a lot and have a nice day.

Filmtec membranes operate at 50 psi or higher and 50-60 psi is perfect. With that pressure water temp has more to do with production and tap water temps in the 70's will optimize production. The flush valve is the blue handled valve on the top of the system over the flow restrictor and should have a tag on it.
It only requires a one minute flush at the end of your water making session to flush any fouling off the face of the membane.
You can increase pressure but there is really no need to as long as your above 50.
