Anyone know if replacing an "F8A fuse" with a "5 Amp 125V" is dangerous? Or how about if I put in a 250mA 250V fuse instead?

This is for my 400W IceCap Metal Halide Ballast

An F8a, is an 8.0 Amp 250v fuse, IIRC. So no, you can't use any of those you have.

I wouldnt be surprised if ratshack, etc, had them.

Amperage is critical when it comes to fuses, there's probably a problem with your ballast that's why the fuse went, or maybe some overheating, change it with the same fuse amperage.
