6" PBT, a little ich-y... never became an issue for him. He only gets a few spots occasionally

O.O

I have never seen so many tangs in one tank besides at the LFS. That Vlamingii is huge! And i really want a powder blue. Beautiful fish.

that vlamingi looks sad... you should donate him to an aquarium/ someone with a 1000+ gallon tank. That poor guy needs a more room.

he is VERY nice though. how long have u had him?

Great to see the tang moral committee showed up

If every vlamingii tang that was sold in this hobby was donated to an aquarium you would only see aquariums full of vlamingiis. This fish dose not belong in the hobby period. My tank is about twice the size of the tank he came from so he is very much enjoying stretching his fins (I've had him for about 10 mo now).

Every aquarium fish needs more room, nothing compares to the ocean. It is the reason however, I have left my rockwork open by elevating the LR on PVC. There is not an inch of my tank he cannot use. I figured someone would have something to say about me having this fish but it is a very important fish to include in a tang article, simply for the reason that the vlamingii are common, cheap, and virtually nobody has an appropriate environment for them.

Nobody would think twice about me having a blond naso in my tank. They grow to 1.5 ft and would still be considered acceptable in my tank (or even a 180 for that matter). This tang isn't even that large yet so I think I don't have to rush out and find a new home for a bit longer. However, if you know of someone with a large tank who would be interested in him I will gladly consider rehoming him. I know I'm going to end up fishless before I have an appropriate place to build my own 1000g tank, so eventually all my fish will be looking for new homes.

Cheers!

My new Blue Hippo Tang. Approx 5cm long. She resides alone (at the moment) in a 125g Tank :)
