Everything you see here was bought used a piece at a time on sdreefs.com (execpt bulbs) here in san diego. About a year to put together, actually I just finished. I dubbed it "My über light" because I was always in awe of the Infinity XR4 HQI 3 x 400w with T5.

I know it's a little getto and not up to those euro specs but it's all used parts and cost me less than 3 c notes, enjoy:)

I found that if I mounted all the units to this one I-beam that I can pull the whole thing out of my canopy and clean it off or change bulbs (VHO's) real easy.

Did you mount that in a cabinet, or is it part of a frame that hangs over the tank.

I mounted all of it on one big I-beam (aluminum) and have 2 angle pieces either side of my canopy so my beam with all the lights slide on to the angle piece as I put it into my canopy.
I will put it up today and post more picks.

OK finally have the ballast installed (bought used:) ) anyway it's done and will put up into my canopy next. I betchya most reefer's are ex computer modder's, at least I was and I put some of my laying around junk to use.

Where's the cold cathode tubes and tri-color LED fans? All 3 MH bulbs the same temp or did you swap it up in the middle?

I bet you're right about a lot of us being computer modders too. I know I was/am.
