I was wondering if anyone had success in keeping different clowns together in the same tank. If so please share your experience, thanks

In very large tanks with multiple anemones, it can be done. However some, e.g. maroon, are more aggressive. In general, it does not work well.

Do you think it would work in an 180 w/ 2 RBTAs as hosts?

I made the mistake of starting out with 2 maroon clowns and 2 perculas. I am now left with one maroon. I don't think they all got along very well. The one maroon is doing wonderful now by itself though.

I have a percula and tomato clown in my 75 gallon. They get along fine. The percula is much smaller but was in first.

I have tried a percula and a skunk in the past. LFS said "no problem". No problem for the skunk it turned out. He beat the percula down in a couple of weeks!

I had an B&W ocellaris and a maroon in my 175g. They each had their own BTA. The ocellaris was significantly larger than the maroon and had no problems for over a year.
I did recently get rid of the ocellaris to someone that was looking to breed it.

I had a maroon and a true percula(black).... they lived together just fine for about 4 months and then the maroon snapped! Mambo(the percula) got chased into my overflow and currently resides in the fuge until i can get the dang maroon out....

I currently have a goldstripe maroon and black footed clown in a 30g. they've been together for 6 months. They'll be going into a 240g unless some fights break out and one of them will end up in another tank, not sure what of my 3 I will be keeping after the upgrade. There have been absolutely no fighting. I had the GSM for another 4 months on his own and he never left the rock work. Since adding the BF, he has come out more and swims a little bit more.

Waikiki aquarium has about 20 ocellaris, 10 pink skunk, and 5 orange skunk in one tank (roughly 200 gallons) but the tank is literally littered with anemones (probably 50+ - mainly bubble tip)
As long as there is a large tank, lots of anemones and a pecking order, it will be fine. I would stick with percs, ocellaris and skunks if you plan to mix since they are much more passive

I have a pair of breeding percs and a pair of young skunks on opposite ends of the tank. We'll see what happens when the skunks start breeding, but so far so good. Plenty of euphyllia to go around :)

I have a trio of ocellaris with the male and female breeding regularly and the juvenile assisting with egg care. In the same tank I have a pair of pink skunks. They keep to their own small territories and don't bother each other. This is a 210 gallon. There are 2 RBTA in the tank but the ocellaris host in a giant mushroom and the pink skunks host in anthelia. Go figure.........

Well a general rule of thumb is that a breeding pair of clown fish require about 30 EXCLUSIVE gallons of space with a dedicated host. Longer tanks can accommodate that; smaller tanks generally cannot.
If the clown fish are not sexually differentiated, sometimes you can get lucky with more cramped conditions, but usually not.
By the way, long term, clowns can damage euphyllia.

I had a pair of TB maroons and a pair of TB black and white ocellaris in a 155G tank with no problems. However I will say that the pair of maroons that I had was exceptionally mild mannered for any pair of clowns, incredibly so for maroons. I agree that multiple hosts and space is key to success.

I had a pair of true perculas and a tiny one inched tomato clown. They picked on the tomato for a day or so then they left him alone. happily ever after until they were struck by brooklynella

As others have stated, it's not the best idea. I had 3 clowns in a 40 Breeder for over a year. I had two fire clowns and a maroon. One fire clown morphed to a female and parked right in the large haddoni centered in my tank. She never took to the male fire clown and she would not let him near her. It seemed she became continually bigger and stronger while the other became continually smaller and more timid.
Interestingly enough, after some time things settled down and there was a passing tolerance, but even then territory was fiercely defended. The maroon and smaller fire clown never really had too much of an issue with each other.
I can also surmise that one of the reasons the two fire clowns never paired up was because of the anomalous inhabitant.

I have 4 Clowns.... 2 Clarkii male and female pair, that host in all three of my anemones, and a pair of False Pecs that stay pretty much in one spot in the corner of my tank... The Clarki's are much more aggressive and steal pieces of food, and feed their nems... :)
Tank is a 220 gallon reef.... 6 Feet wide....

Eh, two years and excellent growth tell me I'm in the clear :)
But yeah, I've seen really "rambunctious" clowns cause problems, especially with less than happy or established euphyllia.
