Which form of macro alage

My bubble caulerpa is slowly dying off over the last few months. I continue to thin mature branches in hopes of getting a new thriving young bunch, but nothing. I have always only used strains of caulerpa. Should I try using a stran of chaeto instea of caulerpa ?

better hope your caulerpa is not going asexual or else it will nuke your tank with all the nutrients it took up. that will cause your tank to crash. yes use chaeto instead.

I agree cheato is a much safer option..... Have heard to many ugly stories of caulerpa going asexual....

However careful not to go 24/7 with the lighting on the chaeto.. Its does better with lower wattage lighting and giving it a dark period.. I run mine 12 on 12 off... reverse cycle to the display...
