i bought a green clown goby about 2-3 days ago and have some questions on the way he is acting. currently he is just sitting at the bottom of the tank and starts to look like he is tipping over then catches himself? is this normal for them? he just started acting like this within the past hour or so.

he is a very pretty fish and has not lost any of his coloring. in a way he looks as though he is playing dead sometimes... is that normal.

also what is the best food for them? i have been feeding him frozen mysis and live brine shrimp.

thanks all

As long as it is eating I wouldn't worry yet. How did you acclimate it? Have you tested your water parameters? The brine and mysis diet is fine. Also is it in a reef?

water is fine, i drip acclimated him. it is in a reef tank and i will have corals and anemones in there soon. i have some mushrooms, some curly Q's, and some kind of blood red anemone in there right now.

clown gobies just sit there most of the time. If he looks like he lost equilibrium, he is probably done for.
