Does anyone know how or where I can get the pre assembled lighting upgrades w/out the tank?

Call NanoTuners. 805.277.3292 They will sell the hoods only or you can send in your hood and they will install the kit.

Not sure if this is what you might be looking for but,

I am selling a 108w PC upgrade for NC24

Both Nanotuners and Nanocustoms sell the hoods already modded separately from the tank, or you can buy the DIY lighting kits and send them your hood and they will install for you also.

A complete modded hood starts around 250 for PC and probaby 375 for MH

You can check nanotuners.com, or nanocustoms.com and look around the website for something that might work for you. Keep in mind the increase in temp and such too since the nano cube doesn't dissipate heat very well. They've got some great stuff though. Good luck.

I wouldn't agree with this statement.

I had the 108W custom hood. They also modded the hood for increased airflow by adding 2 more fans.

I keep the AC off during the day and the ambient room temp the tank was in could easily hit the high 80's but my tank never got above 81.

I have 3 NanoTuners hoods. All stay between 79~80 where the heater is set. Cooler than stock hood.

Almost all of the nanotuners hoods run cooler than the stock hoods. I have had both 4.24 mod and the 1.70 mod for my nanocube 12G. Both have run cooler than the stock cube. For the last 8 months I have been running a nanocustoms 1.70 (70W MH with 2-18W PC), no chiller is required....max temp is 81.5 with a room temp of 75 degrees.

Mark

1. They remove the ballasts from the hood and mount them in a nice remote enclosure.
2. They replace the stock heat shield with one of their own design.
3. Optional higher flow fans, not required if you dont go with MH lights
