what powerheads would give me a medium water flow for my tank.. i have a 29 gal.. so far i'm using a korila 1 and a maxijet 900.. should i ditch the maxijet 900 and put in a 301 powerhead on full blast to achieve this?>

What are you wanting to keep?

I'd go either two of the Koralia 1's, or a #1 and #2, that'll give you from a medium 27x flow to a higher 35x flow respectively.

i agree--two koralia twos---opposite top corners of your tank--give you great turbulent flow and agitate the surface well

ok.. right now i have a cabbage, frogs spawn, two toadstoals, carpet anemone, clam , monti, and a devils hand. for the flow i'm using is a koralia 1 and a 301 powerhead on full blast.. i was too scared to try the maxijet900..

I'd go with another korila one or two--you really don't need the blast from the power head. The monti will appreciate all the turbulance created.

yeah.. do you think for a temp solution i should leave the koralia 1 and use a maxijet 900? would that be medium flow for my tank?

Of course, this hobby is only limited by your pocket book :)
You have to be creative with the stuff you have or can afford.
eg I'm staying away from sps's until I can afford new lighting--the lighting I have is great for the coral I have.
Just make sure that the monti you have gets the benifit of the koralia 1--it will appreciate it the most.

I run a 800 gal as the only pump in my nano. It seems to work nicely. I have a 24 gallon aquapod.

it really depends what you have in your tank--for some that is adequate, others like more flow, others like it turbulent.
