We are a fledgling club, and looking forward to having new members!
Post here if you are interested in joining. We are in the process of setting up a first meeting time. It is looking like it will be in the beginning of the fall.
Thanks and we look forward to meeting you all!

Depending on when your meetings will be, I have interest. CMAS has their meeting 2 hours north of me and I can't make them due to work. This might be a nice alternative for us south siders.

i think you already counted me in Valerie but i wanted to make it official. with the gas prices this summer its nice to have an alternative. wohoo now we can finally have a northside vs southside frag fest lol

Awesome. I'm glad this club is being so well recieved. I think that networking is extremely valuable in this hobby, and it's great to have more than one option.
Please start thinking about what kind of involvement you want in this club, we will be looking for nominees for officers soon.
I think that I will host the first meeting. Keep in mind that I do live about 20 min south of Joliet in Coal City. Another option would be to have it at a public place, however I feel that meetings are better at actual member's homes because then you get to see everyone's tanks and share ideas, frags, and the like.
We will also be looking for hosts for meetings, which will start most likely in September. I know that the rest of the summer is eaten up for most people.
I am always open to suggestions, and I welcome any advice from members/officers of other clubs.

I would love to host one of the first meetings. My new fuge/sump area should be done by then and it would be neat to show it off, besides (smiling) it will be another reason to bake some really good treats. That is getting into the cooler season. Ahhhhh...
Count me in on the new club!

Also, the date of the meeting has been posted, so an email announcement will go out to those on the list.

Thanks Brad, I appreciate that very much. I've had a falling out with my sister, so I don't know when I'll be in Bloomington next, but I do still plan to participate in BNARC meetings and activities
