From 180 to 210 and concerns...

HI guys,

Im thinking about going form a 72X24X24 180 gallon tank to a 210 with the same dimensions but taller. Are their any concerns here with the stand durability? I will be using the same stand that the 180 used to be on but now there will be a little more weight. Is there anything I can do to reinforce the tank stand or should I be fine?

I actually want to do the same thing. from 180 to 210-220 and use the same stand.

think i will add some support to the stand just to be safe

300 lbs more weigh should not stress the stand currently supporting 1800 lbs; most commercial stands have a safety margin of 100%

I think they are the same stands if you get them from AGA or perfecto.

Is it really worth it to upgrad to a 210 for the extra 4 inches of tank height? That seems like a lot of money for what you are getting.
