Do you guys have any plans for a 36" Solar Flare? I'm buying a 36" tank and would love a solar flare in this length. I know the TX5 fixtures are pretty good but they're not really my first choice of fixtures.

Dwarf Seahorses,

While there has been talk about making a 36" version of the Solar Flare there are no plans for a release date in the near future. I will look back into this and see if there is a demand for a 36" Solar Flare. To help me better understand your requirements better, what size tank (gallons and dimensions) are you thinking about using this fixture on?

Thank you,

Tom

I'm thinking about using it on a 90 gallon 36"x24"x24" tank.

A 36" would accomodate us 92 gallon corner tank people as well..

myakkareef,

I think a 36" Solar Flare would be too wide (front to back) for a 92ga corner. The Solar Flares are 15" wide. Please let me know if a 36" x 15" footprint would work on a 92ga corner.

Thank you,

would one of these be too much light for a 40 breeder if you were to ever make one?

sbcaes,

It depends. For a all SPS / Clam tank 40 breeder with a Solar Flare raised several inches off the tank I think it would be more then enough light but not a overkill. Our 36" TX5 or MH/T5 Classic with 175W halides would also more more then enough light for a 40ga breeder.

Thank you,

you guys need to make one of these. for those of us who want EXTREME lights. =) in a fixture that is 36" long.

I would use something like this for a 21" tank. oceanic 58RR

sbcaes,

We are looking into making a 36" version but please be aware that the price would be very close to the 48" version simply because the 36" version would require the same components as in the 48" Solar Flares.

Thank you,
