I found a red O. scyllarus. I'm curious if others have seen this color morph?

Test.
Roy, can you post to this thread now?
Hopefully this thread's sorted so Roy can reply..
My question, Dr Roy - what sex is this specimen?
Gonodactylus

It is a female. I doubt that a mature male would ever be this red. Some females tend towards rusty brown and this one just took it a bit further.

One additional point. Most adult O. scyllarus that I have looked at fluoresce green in blue light. So did this female.
I have no idea what that means.

Black emperor scorpions fluoresce green in black light, I used to have one, I dont know if its the same under the blue lights we use with our tanks . ive heard that its a defence against UV rays... I have no Idea if its a possibility in this case though...maby something to test
