View Full Version : Losing time

My Aquatronica PC software is not keeping the correct time with that of my pc.

Any thoughts, I lose an hour or two each day and must reset on the setup page.

If I dont leave the software connected the time is fine.

I have never heard of this before, so I suggest you shoot off an email too Aquatronica so they can verify and debug the problem.

On a side note, I would suggest that you do not leave your controller connected to the PC for extended periods. When connected, most of the controllers functions seem to run on the PC and not the controller, it is almost as if the PC becomes an Aquatronica emulator and it only uses the real AQ to get probe data and to relay commands to the powerbars. Ergo your Tank is in a state of reliability that is equal to that of Windows XP. It is possible that if Windows should crash it might leave your controller in an unknown state! I have never seen this happen but then again I do not know of anybody who leaves their controller connected 24/7 to a PC.

Doesnt Aquatronica monitor this tread ?

Thanks for the advice.

PS Now you know someone who WAS connected 24/7.

Yes they have a representative, a RC member called IK2VOV
You can PM him or he might jump in if you ask him a question.

I´m always connected 24/7. Works fine here in Sweden, and I have a dedicated laptop connected to AQ, and a separatly PLC to control the lights.
Some pics, but the little text is in Swedish.
