Ok this is like the 3rd thread in the last day i've started haha...i keep running into weird stuff.

Anywho, i've had my t5's for around 2 months now...just in the last week or so, i've been noticing that when i turn them on, they seem to make a weird noise every couple minutes. I WANT to say that its just them "warming up" or whatever...it almost sounds like a little spring or something going off inside the bulbs, but i dunno. I never noticed this untill recently.

The lights are the Icecap T5 HO 4x39w Retro from reefgeek.com, so i know they're good quality lights, and i've been running them for 2 months and really like them...but why did it start doing this NOW and not earlier?

My reflectors "creak" when they warm up and cool down (the Aluminum expands and contracts a fair bit). Perhaps you're hearing this?

Hm, maybe...hopefully lol. It just sounds like it could be INSIDE the bulb, but i've never actually looked at it. And it did it like 8 times when i turned my lights on today (the noise i mean).

Just makin sure i'm not about to blow something up!!!!
