Well I've recently seen what looked like a slug, and today I finally had a chance to try and snap a pic, so I actually captured the little bugger. He almost looks like more of some type of snail than a slug. Here are some crappy pics.

Today when the lights were off I saw this long skinny(really skinny, almost needle thin) thing coming out of the rock and it looked like it was trying to reach up and feed off some of the stuff on the rock. The head or mouth looked like a whitish color. None of the pictures I took came out decent to where you can even notice it is there. It almost looked like a worm or something. I am pretty sure he had a mouth. Does anyone have any clue what it might be? Or is there a website with common live rock hitchhiker pictures?

What type of LR do you have? Do you have more close-up pics of the snail it's hard to tell from these pics.

The pictures look to be stomatella. A benefical part of your clean up crew. I think they are my favorite snail. Of course, I think they're my hermits too...

The skinny thing sounds like a peanut worm to me. They are harmless.

I agree with stomatella. I have a bunch of them in my tank. They're great cleaners, and they'll reproduce in your tank. I don't think I've ever seen them sold anywhere, so if you start finding more, give them away to your friends, and they'll love you for it.

The first one I found I thought was some sort of a slug as well.
