I have had two ocellaris clowns for several months now..both doing great and are paired...wont leave eachothers side....I recently added a GBTA a couple weeks ago...the clowns never noticed it and then lastnight I walked by to see the larger clown moving around in it and then sticking its head towards the GBTA's mouth...but it only goes in it every so often...would you say it is hosting?

Usually when they host they stay in their anemone the majority of the time. They usually only come out for food or to explore around periodically.

Give them time. If they are interested in BTA, they may eventually build up immunity to allow them to host.

It took my clowns about 12 months for the female to host then an additional 6 more months for the male to host. Now they are laying eggs behind the anemone after about 20 months total. HTH
