Acros under 840w...sufficient?

Would a lighting fixture with 450w of MH, and 390w of actinics be sufficient for acros? The fixture is 6 feet long and the acros would be NO MORE than 10" from the bulbs.

Are you talking about 3x150w, spread out across 6 feet? I would think it would be fine.

I think you'll be fine. I keep my acro under a single 250W halide.

Ive got mine under 14x 39w T-5's.

Mecold has t5's and keeps alot of SPS middle to high in the tank
