Banged up Clown

Well my friend got a maroon and his other fishes banged it up pretty good, alot of its fins are riped, and a few scales near the back are missing. It seems stressed in his QT tank atm, swimming up and down. Will a fish like this survive? Has anyone had success?

Yeah it should recover fully in a few weeks from the nips and such as long as nothing major was damaged (gills mostly). after 4 yrs or so now of peaceful living with not so much as even a sly look at one another my large female Maroon decided she no longer liked having my large (but about 2" smaller) female Tomato living on the other end of my 180g so she went on a little trip to the other end of the tank for an eviction.......a few days later when the Tomato had all she cared to stand she literally tore the Maroon to shreds, i caught her (the Maroon) out and put her in one of my 75s and now about 5 weeks later she's as beautiful as ever, not quiet as cocky as she once was though.
