I've had good luck with Foster and Smith's www.liveaquaria.com (http://www.liveaquaria.com). The last five frags I purchased are all thriving. The frags are of good quality, and there is a 14 day guarantee which will replace any DOA or other specimens which don't survive.

I've been to Dr. Macs (Pacific EastAqua) and it was always worth the drive! (Even the 2.5 hrs it took me last time due to beach traffic!) his facilities are immaculate, his corals are amazing, the greenhouse is incredible, they always offer me something to eat or drink when I walk in. And my favorite, they have to dogs that greet everyone and are the most friendly dogs ever (except princess who doesn't even get off her little pillow!) Not to mention Dr. Mac himself always answers questions and makes sure that you understand it!

I buy all my stuff from them, plus they have great prices!

I bought a 12 pack as well from Pacific East Aquaculture, over 2 months ago, they actually call you from Dr. Mac's to make sure your shipment is correct and healthy, all acro's, 0 fatalities, all different and large frags. Very impressed.

www.barrierreefaquariums.com I have not purchased online from them because I live near their store. I buy 90% of my stuff from them. I trust them completely.

I have bought from www.vividaquariums.com and have been very pleased.

I'm in the same boat with Kannin. I live in between Barrier Reef and the Reef Mystique in Lake Stevens. I haven't purchased online from either of them but both are good stores. The Reef Mystique's website for sps is www.smallcolonies.com. I do have one caution with the barrier reef: some of their tanks have swimming anemones. A fellow saltwater friend and I have both purchased from BR and while he enjoys the swimming anemones, I have been killing any that I've seen in my tank.

LIveaquaria is good, especially if you catch stuff on special/sale. Pacificeastaquaculture is also great.

what's a swimming anemone?

Very similar to aiptasia. They are pests and can sting other corals. They are named because they can detach themselves and swim by pulsing their bodies if they are provoked, need a better spot, etc. The ones that I have seen are very small. We had a few in our tank that hitched in on some caulerpa we got from Barrier Reef. Injecting lemon juice does a number on those anemones!

Reefer Madness does; all wild colonies, fish and clams have a 10 day guarantee, all Aqua Cultured corals, Frags and invertebrates have a 14 day guarantee, and all Monty's Homegrown corals have a 30 day guarantee.

All wild colonies...all aqua cultured corals

don't those cancel each other out??

They have nothing to do with one another. wild colonies are corals removed from reefs in the ocean and shipped into Reefer Madness for sale and distribution. Aqua Cultured corals are corals they have fragged and grown out in their systems the parent colony neither tissue or skeleton are a part of the colony any longer. wild colonies are far more sensitive to aquarium acclimation then aqua cultured.

I don't think that's right. Wild is as you state. Aquacultured are still from the ocean from the various tropical locations (solomon, fiji, what have you), just farmed, on plugs. I'm going to assume the "homegrown" stuff is fragged in indoor systems and grown out that way too.

I believe that Maricultured are the corals framed in the Ocean like you state Peter and the Aquacultured corals are farmed in home/store reef systems, a few generations removed from the wild but then again I am not 100% positive

I just talked with the owner of small colonies and he is going to have a sale: 4 sps for $100. I can vouch that he has great corals.
