Hey I was just wondering. Is it normal for a chiller to leak a little water from the bottom? I woke up this morning and realized that the floor around it was a little wet and I picked it up and felt the bottom. It was all wet. I just installed it l;ast night and need some info. Also, the water seems to be dropping quite a bit since I installed it (2 gallons in one night) but there doesn't seem to be any leaks in the tank or hose lines. This is really stressing me out because I spent alot of money on this chiller. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Actual leak? Not condensation? If it is a leak it is bad for sure. Positive your connections are good?

agreed! There should not be a leak. Condensation OK. Leak... no good.

It could be some condensation but that isn't that likely. Living in FL with lots of humidity, I've never had condensation problems. I would definitely check your connections. Otherwise, I'd check the chiller for a leak. If a chiller is allowed to freeze up (pump stops) the resulting ice can crack the cooling coil housing or it could be a manufacturing defect. Either way, if you're loosing that much water, it's a leak somewhere...

Check the water that's on the floor with your refractometer to see if it's freshwater or saltwater.

I guess it's possible there's an internal leak (saltwater coming out of the unit). If so, I would take it back to the store for a replacement (or send it back if you bought it online).
