While new I am forced to buy a Large Tank due to my Sister moving to Arizona so she is giving me her 10 Year 90 Gallon Hobby,I have a 72 Gallon Bowfront that I have been keeping going for only 2 months with her help...I see through many threads everyone seems to go through 2 or 3 Tanks ultimatly to a 200+so I will just solve that now and get the Big one....
The Facts so far are this:
Buying from Glasscages.com
300 wide which is 30" wide and 25 tall 8 Ft long..
Options are open this is where I need the help....
I assume one overflow in center?with 4 Holes....
How about a return line from Sump Hole and if so where?
What else as far as anything the Aquarium maker would do?
I appreciate any help you can give,I assume many out there with things they wish they would have done....
This Tank will be a Wall divider from a Living room/Kitchen I'm taking out the Breakfast Bar as we have never used it yet!!LOL
Thanks again!!
Note:I will be ordering and paying by end of August.

Wow! Big Do'in's Huh! You have a lot of planning to do in a very little amount of time. I hope you can use one of your flatbed semi's to pick-up this tank, lol. I recently ordered a 180 from glasscages and picked it up in the back of a waffle house in Columbus. Your gonna need a lot of people, probably 8 unless they're linebackers, to lift it, especially onto the stand.

Are you going to have a closed loop on it? You should think about that too along with the size of the overflows and overflow holes.
Anyway, [welcome]

Moving it into the house is going to be a project that you need to address before ordering the tank.. hey and

I'm just getting the Tank itself,I'm making the Stand along with some 1/2 inch Plate Steel I found...LOL
Forgive my newness I will have to google"closed loop"and get back to ya on that,as for the overflows I assumed the Tank makers knew the right size overflow for the Tank?
If against a Wall it was 2 on the backside with 2 holes but then I asked them Today if one in the center with 4 was ok as I wanted both sides visible and figured live rock could be put around it so as not to be seen?
Thanks for the response...Really!!

If you are purchasing from glass cages, they will not necessarily do "what is right" for you. They will do what you ask....

I would really go over to the large tank forum and start looking at setups..

I appreciate all the help!!I'm here with my Son and think this is good for both of us..probably a big jump so soon but I have always been one to go with the Gusto on everything, plenty of Neighbors willing to help me get it in the House and one is helping me reinforce the Floor so I think I'm doing good so far...I'm a little Nervous no denying that!!

With that length of tank I would have an overflow on both ends.
I would also use a closed loop with a Ocean Motions hooked to it for water flow. If you have not ordered it yet I would do a lot of research on the cost of the equipment to run it as the cost of the aquarium is the inexpensive part of the hobby its the rest of the equipment that will cost you the $$$ I've spent a little over $6000 and I still have to spend at least $1500 to$ 2000 for a Calc reactor and a couple of other things and that is for a 150gl and I built my own stand and hood.
That is using good quality stuff not top of the line or I could easily double the amount or more.

I appreciate all the help, still unsure about how many Holes I will need that seems to be the most important...Obviously I will not have all the equipment at once but want the holes there for the Future.....
wondering what if any of a universal size for like the oceon motion and other etc I may have in future...
one step at a time I guess...

I have a 135G Oceanic and have two overflows near each end. Personally, I like that better then one as I can direct the return water a little better. I have also found that corners seem to collect the surface junk more often. Head over to the large tank section and read through the threads. There are several post over there with pictures of nice, large tank setups.
