Just like the title says, I don't think i can check it inside of the reactor so I'm going to drip the effluent inside of a cup and put the ph probe there. Is this better or worse? Thanks

if you test the effluent very shortly after it drips from the reactor you'll get within a few 100ths of a point pH of the inside of the reactor.

My effluent drips into a Lees specimen container that hangs on a baffle in the sump then overflows into the main sump section. I suspended my pH controller probe in the container by drilling a 5/8" hole in a piece of acrylic 1.5" wide and 13"+/- long that sits on the sumps (30G glass aquarium) plastic trim. It has been working great for over 3 years now.
