Rust

Recently the unit has stalled a couple of times overnight. I washed the wet side, but noticed that the bolt that holds the impellor looked a little rusty. Is this anything to worry about?

Tank is about 1/2" thickness(12mm) should i be using the pin spacer as currently i dont use it ?

A little bit of surface rust on the drive shaft screw is not an issue. It's 316L stainless steel. If you have a 1/2" tank you absolutely must use the pin spacer as explained in the instruction manual. Failure to do so could result in parts breaking that wouldn't be covered under our warranty. The pump must be used as it's designed or else it will not function properly.
