Hello,
I was in the process of hooking up my brand new RC-180 to my 125 gallon tank and was wondering what size pump I should use.
I used to run a CS8-2-RC before on the same tank using a Mag2 and it worked just fine.
I just noticed that the inlet on the RC-180 is bigger than the CS8, .75" on the RC180 as opposed to .50" on the CS8 I believe.
So I added an adapter to the pump to convert it from .75" to 1" to use 1" vinyl tubing and it doesnt seem to have enough pressure to run the water to the skimmer.
So I assume I need a bigger pump.
Or maybe i'm just doing something wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
