I don't really think they will kill hermits. Maybe it was trying to clean it? Or steal it's food? And just to be sure, are you sure that it is a cleaner shrimp?

yeah i noted this hermit was fighting to another and i guess lost so was dead or dying so the shrimp took advantage and made it dinner itself i saw it actually taking the hermit off the shell and start eating it lil but is that normal?

I've seen a crab eat a dead shrimp, but not the other way around...if I saw it in my tank I guess I'd pull the dead hermit out - in case it had parasites or something...but I have nothing to base that that decision on.

Not sure if it has anything to do with why the hermit was fighting...but maybe it wanted a bigger shell and was trying to steal someone else's. Do you have extra shells for the hermits to move into?

im gonna buy some extra shells tomorrow and i guess i will remove the hermit out as well ;) and yeah was fighting to get a biger shell but the one in it won lol

i have hermits and cleaner shrimp and i have never seen this. I would ssuggest that it was trying to clean it....however if thats is not the case then see if the extra shells help.
