Just did my freshwater leak test today, and theres about a 2cm difference on water level from front to back. Whats the best way to shim the tank? It's draining now.

I shimmed my 75G with composite shims between the stand and floor. I had the tank about 80% full when I did it, and had no problem getting the shims in (but my stand is on carpet). I like the composite shims (available at home deopt and menard's) better than the wood ones because they're smooth, uniform in size, easy to break off what's not needed, and won't compress over time.

Don't shim between the tank and stand, but I've heard many others speak of putting a thin piece of polystyrene between the tank and stand.

Yeah, on carpet here as well, do I put just a few shims on the backside, left middle right, will that stress the spots inbetween?

if the whole bottom of the stand makes contact with the floor, shim the whole thing.
