Argonite settling?

Hello, I just put rinsed argonite in my tank. My tank is still cloudy and it has been three days. All the pumps are off and everything, is this normal?

Yeah, pretty normal.

From what I understand, once bacteria set in on the sand, it will settle and stay settled.

To clarify, I know for a fact that it will settle and stay settled, but I'm not 100% sure of why it does. :) It may take a while.
