I have 3 peppermints in my 29g. I've always heard that these shrimp are rather reclusive and like to hide in the rocks all day and only come out at night. Well, that was true for the first 3 days, maybe, but the last 3 months they have been anything but reclusive. All three are consistently out and about in the tank, whether or not it is feeding time. Yes, right out in the open. And...if I put my hand in the tank without first distracting them with food, one of them latches on to my fingers! It really freaked me out the first time...this is the first tank inhabitant that didn't hide when I worked on the tank!

This certainly is not a problem, they are a lot of fun to watch - very animated. I was just curious if I was the only one with bold and aggressive pepps.

Usually when kept in groups they get more bolder. Cleaner Shrimp will hang out during the day sometimes as well and try to clean you!
