yesterday i bought this angel and he was doing fine despite a smaller coral beauty thats been in there about a month. i dripped acclimated him before adding. he was swimming though he didnt eat i was worried since he hadnt been in but a few hrs. this afternoon he is laying around on his side. thoughts? no agression from the coral beauty though my yellow tang would try to hit him with his tail. thats it

This is a very touchy species. They don’t seem to ship well. They are also very shy for an angel. That is a really rough neighborhood he is in.

i hate to say it, but laying on the side is almost always bad news. watch the breathing patterns, if the are very short rapid breaths.... you might want to get your net ready. if the fish seems to be "ok" other than laying on the side, you might have some luck. when i first put a regal tang in my old setup, he was on his side for the first day i put him in adn all the next day, then the day after that, i can home and he was swimming around like he had been in there for years. never had a problem after that.

well my net got called into action. i cant believe this as he seemed so at home in the swimming around minutes after i put him in. all the yellow tang would do is whip his tail at him. the coral beauty didnt try anything. i dont know what happened
