I am currently running a coralife 96watt 50/50 pc light and picked up a FORMOSA DX 65W*2 it comes with 10,000K DAYLIGHT and 7100K BLUE with a total 130 WATTS. Which one is better?

Which one would you prefer?

What is the question specifically?

Use both of them.

Or all of them if you can fit 'em. :)

I'm trying to debate on which one to keep,

You never stated the tank you are using, dimension-wise. Nor what livestock you are keeping in it.

I have a 45g bowfront, 28long 18 tall and I think 21 deep. Mainly softies.

I'd definitely use 130w of light. Or like I said at first, use all of them.

I had 3 55w PC bulbs over my 29g and it worked out great with 165w of light. Your tank is larger, and could use all the light you've got. The trick is making those fit.

If I cant get that thing to sit on the tank, I'm going to dissasemble them and retrofit it onto the hood. Thanks for the advice Marc. I just picked it up used on craigs list for 30dollars and it seemed like a offer I couldnt pass.

That is what I would do, especially if you have a nice looking hood. Just make sure everything is well-installed and waterproof to avoid any issues.
