I just purchased a Phoenix 14K bulb from a fellow RC member. Having never seen an actual Phx 14k bulb, I was suprised to see that the actual lamp says:

PEC Lamp
MH-250W/TD
BLUE
MADE IN JAPAN

I guess I expected it to say Phoenix instead of PEC Lamp.

So, I did some research and found the company site which describes the bulb as a 10K and not 14K,http://www.peclamp.com/mhde.html. Even the PDF says it's a 10K, www.peclamp.com/image/PDF/MH250BLUE.pdf (http://www.peclamp.com/image/PDF/MH250BLUE.pdf)

I checked the image of the lamp at Marine Depots site and it's the same as the one I have and refers to it as Phoenix 14K.

Am I missing something here? Does anyone know why there is a difference in color temperature from what the company says versus everything else. Do I have the correct bulb?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks.

You have the correct bulb. The company that makes it calls it a 10K, but it is most certainly a 14K with a fair amount of blue in it.
