Had the six line since the beginning of the tank. Put 2 ocellaris clowns, he didn't bother them, put a diamond goby, didn't bother him, but now he is chasing my new yellow watchman goby. I want to get a bartlett anthias, but I am afraid that the wrasse with chase him too.

If I put the wrasse in the fuge until the fish settle in do you think that he will still chase the new fish when I put him back in?

Has anyone had success doing this.

those 6line can get pretty mean. i had one and tried to seperate it and reintrocue it to the tank, it didnt work. try moving around the rocks to make it look unfamiliar to the wrasse.

Be careful with moving the rocks not to disturb too much of the gobys stuff. I've never had any issues with carpet surfing until today, when we found our diamond goby of 5+ months dried up on the floor. We had recently redid the rock work and disturbed his home. Not sure what else caused him to jump, as he never even went near the top before.

I love my six line, but I am thinking of getting rid of him to by my barlett anthias and the royal gramma. Just had the gramma about a week ago and the wrasse absolutly destroyed him! Though he would be ok with the watchman, but no.

Just thought of something. What if I traded him in for a new six line, that is not yet familiar with the surroundings. After I get all the other fish of course?

I would try the refugium idea, and then go this route (or just trade him in for a new fish entirely)
