Whelk (http://whelk.aims.gov.au/coralsearch/coralsearch.php)
Coral Reef Zones (http://www.thesea.org/coral_reef/reef_zones/reef_zones.php)
I thought this may be helpful for people curious as to what proper placement for certain corals in their tanks were. If you research the coral on the Whelks website it will list the habitat (upper reef slope, lagoons, etc.) then research the reef zones website and it will give you the information such as depth, wave velocity, lighting, etc. for each zone.
Not saying this is the word of God but it seems very useful as a tool to determine different placements within our systems.
