In one piece of my live rock, there are these perfectly round small holes which seem to be inhabited by some type of inverts. They look like very small featherdusters. The hair-like filaments are irridescent green and red. In the center of the formation of these red/green hairs, there are three little appendages which look like tentacles. I couldn't figure out if these little guys were friend or foe. Does this seem like something any of you have encountered?

You could upload it to PhotoBucket or some similar site, and then post a link.

I dont know what it is but i have had them before.I like the colors on them. They didnt last to long. 2 or 3 months then they died i guess. I tried target feeding them different stuff and nothing.I figured they were filter feeders.

I was at my LFS and saw a bunch of them on the corals about a week ago and was wonder the same thing. I've never seen them before that. I'm glad you posted.

I'd guess they're some sort of worm, but I don't know what type.

Well, if they're not predatory (LOL) or a threat to my fish, then I'm glad to have to have them. I've seen tiny worms (and bristleworms) on my live rock before, but this is a first. I was just a little alarmed when I saw the three little "arms" / tentacles coming out from the center.
