Got this on a frag of zooanthids. Looks to be an LPS? not too sure about any thing. Any ideas? Sorry for the some what blurry pic, it looks similar to an acan blasto or micromussa

The pic makes it kinda hard to tell, but the tiny size of the polyps compared to the zoas and the encrusting growth form makes me think of a porites sp, though any of your guesses are as good as mine. Regardless, it would be best to seperate them from the zoas so they don't get burnt up. It will be interesting to see what it grows into!

Already getting ready to separate it and move it to higher light. It's obviously a stony coral and is not going to appreciate being at the bottom of a tank with PCs. I'll try for a better picture.

I fraged it off and it broke in 2 pieces. We'll see how they do. I'll try for more pics.

Defintely not porites. Just looks like small zoos to me. I've seen lots that were tiny like that.

no it's hard and Calcium like. It's definitely an LPS
