Bubbles, bubbles everywhere!

I set up a 120 gal reef tank 5 weeks ago and have been plagued by bubbles in the tank since the pump (Coralife 1270) first went on. The tank is plumbed through the built in overflow and runs (crashes?) into a large ProAcrylic refugium set up w/Miracle Mud. Water flows over the mud into the sump and is pumped back into the tank. I have no air leaks that I know of- all plumbing joints have been sealed inside and outside. I am tempted to actually downsize the pump and see if this helps. Any suggestions would be welcome!

I recommend to put baffels in your sump right before the return pump. It should help somewhat w/ the microbubbles.

Check out this link for a good discussion on sumps and the placement of baffles if you haven't already seen it:
