i am looking to upgrde my water pump for my 29 gallon biocube and i have read that a lot of you guys have the Tunze and the maxijet. can anyone give me any reccomendaions either way??

I've had both and they both work. The Tunze Nanostreams are great if you need that much flow. They also run less watts and the magnet holder is nice. That may be way too much flow though depending on what you are keeping.

you looking for flow..get a hydro If you dont want to spend the $ in getting the tunze.

The Koralia 2 would be good for the 29. I have a 24g and I run a tunze nanostream 6025 and a koralia 2. I need it for my SPS and I have a lot of live rock. They do run alot less on watts so your tank won't heat up as much.
Once you go magnet (holders) you just cant go back to suction cups

like my koralia2...but damn the thing is huge...and it seems to spray water in two directions, which i dont like...but it moves a lot of water...

i wonder if there is a mod for the koralia1? that would be nice...smaller thent he 2...and if we could boost it too say 800-1000 range that would be sweet

there are several threads about this..i believe it involves pulling the front shroud off and cutting out the pipe shaped piece of plastic in there out...
