WTB one of these. Does anyone have a clue where I could get one?

Most any LFS could order you one reall easily- theyre on every import list. I think that would be your best bet.
Planning some big experiments or something?

No,
I found them online, but apparently thy are crazy hard to keep, so I wanted to talk with the LFS or importer. I have only ever seen them once in a LFS.

Gotcha. Yeah, getting them is actually pretty easy; if youve got a decent LFS around you, I can pretty much guarantee that their coral availability list will have Dendro. on it.
Most stores dont carry them regularly anymore because they have finally realized that its just not worth having around. I can only think of maybe half a dozen people worldwide who have had some kind of long term success with those corals- being brought in to captivity is a essentially a death sentence unfortunately. Just a suggestion for you, if you want to try something nonphotosynthetic, go for Chili Coral- Nephthyigorgia sp- as their diet and basic requirements are understood much better. Unless you are equipped to study Dendros in a formal way, youll only be able to enjoy the coral for a month or so before watching it wither away from starvation.
Exciting, huh? :fun4: Not trying to be a PITA, just hate to see those corals brought in for nothing. If despite what Ive mentioned you attempt to keep them- good luck! If you are successful 6 months down the road, please let us know!
