I've been doing some web searching for any place that sells Box Crabs, also called Shamefaced Crabs. I'm not looking to buy right now, but might in the future if I ever set up a species tank or just like to have one in a large FOWLR tank.

They are cetainly interesting to observe. Mine is currently nursing eggs(second time too!). Just note that no snails or bivalves will be safe. One of their claws is double headed with the outer part 'designed' to crack open shells.

It's really interesting to see them crack open spiral shaped shells, so what you get is the outer layer stripped bare and the inner spiral exposed.

I know all about their feeding habits.

Where did you get your's?

At my LFS who also does wholesale and export.

On an update, the eggs have hatched and thousands of the little beggers are all over the tank. Its kinda fun to turn off all the lights in the room see them follow my torch-light around the tank.
