Need schooling on Calcium Reactor!

OK fellow RCers, I need to be schooled on CRs, I know next to nothing about calcium reactors! Will somebody please explain the operating functions/chambers and what not and point me in the proper direction of a good CR for my 180g. I know a little bit, but pretend I've never seen one before!
