right now i have a 20g long tank with 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 fire shrimp, 5-6 snails, and a hermit.
I also have four heads of frogspawn, one hammer coral, and green star polyps. My question is could i get another cleaner shrimp, or do i have to many inverts already?

IMO--add another cleaner shrimp--they seem to get along well together

I had two pairs of cleaners and coral banded--been fine together for a year now.
Coral banded are neat because they have pincers on them--only trouble is they usually don't come out until night.

thanks guys im glad to hear that my skunks should be fine! Capn, i heard that the coral banded shrimp is very territorial. Do you find this to be true? I also have a fire do you think they all will be fine?

they are very territorial---that's why it was recommeded that you put a max of three in your size of tank
mines a 120 gal---the coral banded have the bottom right corner for their territory--but wander and mix at night with the cleaners.
I think territory becomes an issue when it is preceived that there is no territory---gee kind of like us :)

Lol, the coral banded is not wandering or mixing, its hunting. Specifically for cleaner shrimp. Bad idea to put the coral banded in with other shrimp.

I guess I have been lucky then---or they are too well fed--anyhow they have been fine together.

IMO alot depends on the individuality of our tanks--alot of inverts ect are oportunistic carnivores but it doesn't mean to avoid them.
For example hermit crabs---I have had more problems with them before I moved them to the fuge---
