Hey dudes, happened upon this place, saw some framiliar names. I'm what you call a "tweener" living in Syracuse. Not quite roch or buff, not quite cortland or binghamton.

Looks like I found another spot to bug you guys with my problems.

Yeah, suprisingly there aren't alot of reefers from syracuse (at least that I've seen). Maybe a lack of good reef lfs?? Although that doesnt explain the Binghamton population. Welcome to the board.

I agree with the lack of lfs

Welcome aboard Captain! All tweeners are accepted here (or anyone else for that matter). And please, feel free to bug away to your hearts content.

Hi Captain! We started this club earlier this year so that we could have a better way of communicating about the zoo tank project and whatever else. Most people if not all of us are proud members of both URS and STRS. Glad to see you found us and welcome to the club!

Hay another “tweener” :) There are some rumors of a new LFS starting up in the Binghamton area soon. It is about an hour drive for you guys but depending on how nice it is it may be worth it…

I don't think I can even call myself a tweener. More like in the middle of nowhere. Not much here in Morris. (Oneonta/Cooperstown area.)

Welcome to the club. Glad the word is getting out and the club is growing. As for the LFS in Binghamton we will just have to wait and see.

Nice! always good to have another stop on my forums list here on RC. Most of you guys are framiliar to me. Looking forward to some good exchanges of info.

....I'd start a Syracuse Reef Society but I'd be the only on in it....

Oh, P.S., I talked to Tom at Fairmount on Sunday. He's got a 600, which I saw, HUGE!!! and he is expecting a 400 circle tank. It's slow, but he is progressing with his expansion. Hopefully he'll one day rival the Roch stores.

Capt_Cully whats the name and address of the store up there?

Fairmount Aquarium on Milton Ave in Syracuse.

It's small right now but he's got an expansion project that's been going for a year or two, and gonna probably be a year or two before it's up and running.

Decent store for fish if you get there on the right day. Pitiful for coral.
