I have read two recent threads regarding Blue Hippo's destroying Zoa's. I have done some search and found a few instances elsewhere.

I am interested in other experiences, good, bad, indifferent. I am trying to decide if these were rouge individuals or a more common theme.

I currently have a 1.5 inch blue tang in QT, I am now debating if it should even go back to the display. I would hate to have to remove it later anyway.

Thanks for the input -

Craig

I've never seen mine so much as sample any corals, but I've only had him for maybe six months. I don't have many zoanthids left however, as I have an angel who has a taste for them.

I have two blue hippos in my 220 with all kinds of zoas for two years, never a single problem.

I had one for about a year before it decided to go to town on my zoanthids.

i have had mine for about 1 year and 2 months now... she has never even looked at my zoos. i think it all depends on the fish its self, just make sure you feed them well and they shouldn't develop a taste for corals

Ive had mine for 2 years. Its been in 2 tanks loaded with zoanthids for the last year and a half. It never picks at them. The only thing mine messes with is brain coral. Ive tried 2 and had to remove them both.

keeping them well feed is a huge key also.
